NEW ART PROGRAM with Fun Weekly Themes! 

Our Hands-On Art Program Promotes Creativity, Self-Esteem & Good Friendships! 

EXPERIENCE ART!!!  Get a taste of the artist’s way & let your imagination soar!  Join the excitement as we explore a variety of art mediums & create out of this world works of art!  Draw. Paint. Sculpt with clay. Mess with paper mache. Cast with plaster. Learn about an Artist every day!  Create a dramatic scene with back drops and costumes as you express yourself in drama & puppetry!  Get a visit from the groovy, MESSY HANDS Art Bus!  Then, celebrate with your family & friends as you share & show off your stuff at the MESSY HANDS Art Show!  Get ready to have fun & get MESSY!

Everything  Earth  Create art projects that promote our love & appreciation for our Mother Earth! Around the World  Appreciate the charm & splendour of the many diverse cultures & countries around our globe!

Transformations Alter or add to your artwork & realize that change is good.

    

Each day, students will…

1.     Use their sketchbooks to learn about an element of design and apply the learned concept using various media such as pencil, conte, pastels, markers & paint. 

2.  Explore the life of a Master Artist and apply his/her techniques in an artwork.

3.  Create a project based on the theme of the day using different media such as paint, clay, wood, plaster, fabric & more!

Each week, students will…

 

 

1.     Create a collective work of art!

2.  Create a detailed, ongoing art work based on the week's theme.

3.     Visit the MESSY HANDS Art Bus! 

4.     Collectively create a drama presentation/puppet show!

5.     Display their artwork at the MESSY HANDS Art Gallery!

 NEW WEEKLY THEMES:      

 

 

 

Each week will focus on Drawing, Painting & Sculpture using a variety of Multimedia!                 July 1-4   Outer Space-Travel far out into space with your very own Rocket and explore stars, galaxies, constellations, Planets, Aliens & Rockets!  Sculpture, Painting & Drawing will be our focus this week.

July 7-11                  

Enchanted Art--Imagine entering into a magical forest & discovering Fairies & Gnomes & Fiery Flying Dragons. Get ready to create some delightful, magical characters.  Sculpture & Painting will be explored this week.

July 14-18                 

Adventures of the Sea  --   Ahoy me hearties! Join our camp this week with a crew of salty sailors, merry mermaids and swaggering scallywag pirates as we explore the oceans deep using our treasure maps & discover what lies beneath. 

July 21-25                 

Art Masters--Learn about the Great Artists of our past and create artworks using their techniques.  Imagine sitting at a cafe with Van Gogh, or Dancing with Degas; cutting shapes with Matisse, or exploring abstract themes with colour with Pollock & Stella.  Discover your favourite Artist.  Discover your favourite techniques. 

July 28-August 1        

Unusual Architecture--Sketch, Design, then build your very own structure.  Girls get to build their own Dollhouse.  Then become your own Interior Designer and choose your own paint colours and create your own furniture. 

August 4-8               

Royal Times--Calling all Princesses & Knights!  Create your own gowns and armour-wear.  Design & Build a collective Castle where the Queen & King of Art reside.  Our art show this week will be converted into a Royal Tea Party for all guests to attend.

August 11-15            

Global Friends --Imagine travelling to a different country daily and explore the beauty of the wonderful people & cultures of our world. 

August 18-22*          

Fashion & Sportswear --Learn & practice figure drawing.  Learn about the history of costume making and then make your own outfit.  Enter the Acessories Studio where you'll get to embelish your costume by making your own jewellery or hat.  Bring in an old piece of clothing to create your own 'altered clothing'.

August 25-29*           

Jungle Adventures  Imagine going on a safari adventure!  If you love animals, this is the art class for you! The art studio will be transformed into a jungle. Animal lovers will enjoy learning how to draw and paint different creatures as well as create sculpture replicas of their favorite animals and dioramas of animal habitats.                                               

*No camp at the school locations during these last weeks, however, camp at the MESSY HANDS Studio will resume.

Woodbridge Location:  T.B.A. (A school near Islington & Rutherford)

Half Day Program  JK – Gr.6 –divided into age specific groups   

 

 

Monday-Friday 9:00am-11:30am or 1:00pm-3:30pm                                                              

Full Day Program JK-Gr.6 -divided into age specific groups     

Monday-Friday 9:00am-3:30pm

WEEKLY COST:                                                                    

Half Day Program  $185.00 + GST                               

 Full Day Program   $320.00 + GST    

 METHOD OF PAYMENT:    Debit, VISA, Mastercard, Cheque, Cash          

 HOW TO REGISTER:

1.       By fax, mail, e-mail or in person

2.       Complete the Registration Form making sure it is signed & all information has been included.  Please use a separate form for each child.  If you are paying by credit card, you may fax your registration to 905-303-6375 or email to info@messyhands.com.  If you are paying by cheque, please mail in your registration, or deliver in person to the MESSY HANDS office.

3.       Registration Forms are processed on a first come, first served basis.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

4.       Registration Forms must be accompanied by payment in full.

REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICIES:
       1.   There will be no refunds, transfers or credits issued as of the first class.

      2.       If a week is cancelled due to low enrolment, you will be notified one week prior to the start of the       course & a full refund will be issued immediately.

3.     Registrants may cancel, without penalty, up to 10 days before the first class.  A $25.00 administration fee will be charged should you cancel with less than the 10 days of the first class.

 IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

 

 

·          We do not offer before or after class care.

·          Parents are to provide a lunch & snacks daily; except on Fridays.  Fridays is a pizza lunch provided by MESSY HANDS.

·          We are a nut-free environment.  Peanut & nut products must be excluded from your child’s lunch & snacks.
